About

Having a floating sense of home, with footprints in Pomona, the Inland Empire, Arizona, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area, I learned that home was never confined to one place. Home existed wherever Black culture lived and thrived. It was in the people, the stories, and the spaces that made community possible. From that understanding, Porch & Stories was created as a cultural storytelling and lifestyle brand rooted in Black memory, community, and place.

Welcomed into each of these communities, the warm embrace of a beautiful story often felt like an initiation. Stories exchanged in front of corner stores, on porches, in kitchens, and across front yards offered more than conversation. They provided a glimpse into the past, a connection to the present, and a vision for the future of Black communities.

At the center of Porch & Stories is the porch, a staple of Black communal life. An intimate place to observe the neighborhood, socialize, and build community. The porch is home to half-tales and half-truths, sweet summertime memories, neighborhood wisdom, and the storykeepers who captivate their audience. The porch itself is a storykeeper.

Through clothing, storytelling, and creative collaborations, Porch & Stories honors the communities that shape Black culture while imagining new ways to preserve and celebrate it. Rooted in apparel and inspired by community, the vision extends beyond clothing into archival work, cultural experiences, and artistic collaborations that pay homage to the stories, people, and places that make us who we are.

Created with love and purpose, always.
